Lyle Swartzel

Manager, Secretary-Treasurer

Lyle Swartzel is the Manager of Farmers Union Mutual Fire Insurance Company, where he is responsible for the company’s operations. He also serves as the Secretary-Treasurer for the company’s board of directors. Before coming to lead Farmers Union Mutual, he owned an insurance agency and worked for several years in retail banking. 

Lyle earned his Master in Business Administration from the University of Tennessee, Chattanooga, and serves on several boards in the Cleveland area, including Cleveland Bradley Chamber of Commerce, Church of God Church Loan Fund, and Tennessee Association of Mutual Insurance Companies (TnAMIC).  He is a member of the Cleveland Rotary Club. 

Although he calls New Mexico home, he has lived in Cleveland for over 25 years. Lyle is married to Siema Swartzel and has 3 adult children.
